Welcome New Admin

Principal - Laura Malkovich

Hello!  My name is Laura Malkovich and I am the new Principal.  I’d like to start by telling you a bit about myself.  I was born in Buffalo, New York.  My dad was a Signal Officer in the U.S Army. I am the oldest of four children.  I also am a wife and a mother of four children ages 28-17 and 2 grandchildren (5 and 1 years old).  I love hiking, camping and boating.  I started my career as a mom, and I entered the education field in 1994.  I have taught preschool and elementary school, coached teachers, and have 1 year of previous educational administrative experience.  I truly believe that parents are a child’s first and most important teacher.  I believe that all children can learn and reach their highest potential, and that it is our job as parents to “come along side” of you to make that happen.  I am truly excited to be part of the RES family.  I will be asking for parents and community members to join our team in helping RES and all students reach their potential.  Please consider joining our Parent Advisory Council and/or any of our other committees that convene throughout the year.  Also, feel free to contact us throughout the year with questions, comments, or ideas.  We are all in this together.  Let’s watch our Hawks fly!

Dean - Eric Clifford

Hi there, my name is Eric Clifford and I am the Dean of Students at Riverview Elementary School.  I am a native Nevadan and will be starting my 8th year in education this Fall. In December, I will be adding a Mrs. Clifford to my life, as I will be marrying my Fiance’, Heather.  In my spare time, I enjoy hunting fishing, traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with my two German Shorthaired pointers, Addie and Tillie. I am also a big San Francisco Giants and Green Bay Packers fan!  I am very excited to be the Dean at Riverview this year, and look forward to meeting all of you as we work toward our goal of growing academically and as community members!
